Looks as if WP Widget Cache v 0.25.1 and WP v2.6.5 don’t play well together.

With WP Widget Cache v0.25.1 active am unable to edit or delete posts. After clicking Save, a blank screen appears. Deactivating this plugin allows editing and deleting posts.

  2. Hi Mark,

There’s been 3 users that having the same problem as you, but I can’t replicate this error and find the reason. I’ve left the message on http://wordpress.org/support/topic/220033 , hoping someone might help us.

Before this issue solved, I think you can use an older version, http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/wp-widget-cache.0.22.1.zip, if you think the update notice is boring, please edit the ‘widget-cache.php’, changing the 7th line to ‘Version: 0.25.1.1′.

    Regards,
    Andrew

  3. I also had the problem: editing, deleting posts and some other actions just resulted in blank page. I blogged about the problems. I actually upgraded to WP 2.7, but the same problem continued.

I have a shared hosting plan from Dreamhost. I use a total of 12 WP plugins: if you think there might be an incompatibility with some of the other plugins, please email me and I will let you know what I use.

I have installed your “WP Widget Cache” plugin and it seems to work from the admin screens but when I check the source code of the web-pages I don’t see anything mentioned about widget cache. It does show at the end of the page a WP Super Cache statistic.

Does this mean that the plugin is not working correctly? An if so, what to do?

    Many thx in advance

  5. Hi Bjj,

If you’ve set the expired field of some widget, you shoud see ‘ WP Widget Cache ‘ in the source code, try to search ‘Widget Cache’ in the source code of this page. If there’s no such string, this plugin didn’t work properly.

    Regards,
    Andrew

Heikki Toivonen – I had the same problem until I unchecked the “Auto expire when posting” option for one of my widgets. I would love to have that option checked, though.
