X Files actor David Duchovny has left rehab after "successfully" completing a course for sex addiction.
The star’s lawyer, Stanton Stein, told Reuters: "He is out and will very soon begin work on his new movie."
In a statement released in August, the 48-year-old star said he had entered the facility "voluntarily".
Duchovny, who has been married to actress Tea Leoni since 1997, plays sex-obsessed character Hank Moody on the hit TV series Californication.
His portrayal of the troubled Los Angeles novelist won him a Golden Globe award in January.
Duchovny rose to fame playing FBI agent Fox Mulder in The X Files series, which first hit TV screens 1993.
The cult show spawned two big screen spin-offs. The most recent, The X Files: I Want to Believe, was released in UK cinemas in July.
Duchovny is set to star with Demi Moore in comedy drama The Joneses next year.
