IADB seeks huge capital hike, US backs review

MEDELLIN, Colombia, March 29 (Reuters) - The Inter-AmericanDevelopment Bank on Sunday weighed hiking its capital by up to$280 billion to help the region weather the global financialcrisis and won cautious backing from key shareholder the UnitedStates.
