Colorado farmers, ranchers, homebuyers to get $81M under stimulus plan

Rural Colorado will receive about $81.5 million from the federal stimulus package to support farmers, ranchers and homebuyers, the state's senators said.

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds -- administered through the U.S. Department of Agriculture -- will include operating loans to farmers and ranchers, single-family housing loans to rural residents, and infrastructure support, according to a joint statement late Wednesday from the offices of U.S. Sens. Mark Udall and Michael Bennet, both D-Colo.
