Japan exports slump, signs that worst may be over

TOKYO, April 22 (Reuters) - Japan's exports almost halved inMarch from a year earlier but analysts said there were signs thesharp slide in shipments was easing.

Japan's big manufacturing exporters have been hit hard by theworst global downturn since the 1930s Great Depression butanalysts pointed to a slowing pace of falls and suggested thatexports may have stabilised on a month-to-month basis.
