Philip Markoff, the alleged "Craigslist killer," has been placed on suicide watch at the Suffolk County jail in Boston after a correction officer saw marks on his neck that suggested he had tried to use shoelaces to hang himself, a law enforcement source said today.
Markoff was checked out by medical staff at the jail and has now been placed in a special cell with a camera in it so he can be monitored 24 hours a day, the official said.
