Euro-Zone PMI Rebounds in April

LONDON -- The euro-zone economy contracted less sharply in April than in March, with activity in both the manufacturing and service sectors falling less rapidly.

Markit Economics Thursday said the Purchasing Managers Index for the euro-zone manufacturing sector rose to 36.7 from 33.9 in March, while the PMI for the services sector rose to 43.1 from 40.9.
