May 24 (Bloomberg) -- South Korea began planning a statefuneral for former President Roh Moo Hyun as thousands gatheredin the nation’s capital and his hometown to mourn a leader whokilled himself after being implicated in a bribery scandal.
A candlelight vigil begun last night at Deoksu Palace indowntown Seoul continued through today with mourners bowing andreciting prayers before a photo of the one-time human-rightslawyer who boasted he ran South Korea’s cleanest administrationbefore political opponents took power in February 2008.
