With human toll rising, Pakistan sees 'slow' progress - PRESS TV

The Pakistani military has announced that it is facing "stiff resistance" from the Taliban as the battles to restore control to Swat Valley turn to the streets.

Military spokesman Major General Athar Abbas said on Monday that it may take up to 10 days for the government to regain control of Mingora -- the Taliban hub in the scenic valley.
