Thousands turned out yesterday to cheer Gurkhas back in Britain after fighting in Afghanistan.
Actress Joanna Lumley, who campaigned for the soldiers' rights to settle here, joined crowds greeting 630 members of the 2nd Battalion of the Royal Gurkha Rifles.
The unit, missing two men killed fighting the Taliban last year, marched through streets near their barracks in Folkestone, Kent, and were given the freedom of the town.
