Chris Brown pleads guilty to Rihanna assault

LOS ANGELES: Young soul crooner ChrisBrown pleaded guilty on Monday to one count of assault against his formergirlfriend Rihanna and will serve five years of probation and six months ofcommunity service.

Brown, 20, entered the plea prior to the start ofa preliminary hearing on numerous assault charges stemming from a Feb 8 incidentin which he was alleged to have struck Rihanna, 21, the night before the annualGrammy music awards show.
