According to research last week from the Environment Agency, almost one in six homes is at risk of flooding.

The agency's report, Flooding in England, said that 2.4 million properties are at risk from either rivers, the sea or surface water from overflowing drains. However, AA Insurance said that almost one fifth of home owners seem to be cutting back on insurance because of monetary constraints, leaving them at risk.
