Hartmarx Wins Court's Approval for a Sale

The Hartmarx Corporation, the bankrupt suit maker, won court approval on Thursday to sell itself to the British private equity firm Emerisque Brands, Representative Phil Hare, Democrat of Illinois, said in a statement.

The sale to Emerisque and its partner, SKNL North America, was approved by Judge Bruce W. Black in Federal Bankruptcy Court in Chicago. Emerisque valued the deal earlier this month at $128.4 million, Bloomberg News reported.
