Residents of a quiet Hanover apartment complex where a 6-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped while riding her bike, shackled and assaulted by a neighbor expressed shock and dismay yesterday that such a heinous crime could happen in their neighborhood.

“I’m pretty disgusted,” said Rob Jolly, 32. “You see a lot of children around here. It’s a wake-up call for people in this communty.”
