FORT WORTH - The soldier who fought the Taliban in his boxers says he's glad to be back home in Fort Worth - especially on the Fourth of July - after his yearlong deployment to Afghanistan.

Spc. Zachary Boyd says at first he thought he'd get in trouble after an Associated Press photo showed him perched behind sandbags wearing his pink boxers, T-shirt and flip-flops. He said he had jumped up from a nap to help his unit under fire and didn't want to waste time putting on his uniform.
