WASHINGTON - The Food and Drug Administration is warning consumers not to buy two types of energy drinks packaged in test-tube like vials, saying that utility knife blades were found in two vials in an apparent case of tampering.
The FDA said Sunday that the blades were found in one vial each of Hardcore Energize Bullet drink and New Whey liquid products. Both are being recalled, according to the FDA.

It was bound to happen sooner or later: Somebody overdoes the caffeine-laced energy drinks and buys the farm. When this happened with ephedra, the FDA stepped in and criminalized ephedra, saying it was "unsafe at any dose" because a few overzealous weight loss consumers who took too much passed out and died.
