July 6 (Bloomberg) -- Michael Jackson’s attorney and alongtime friend, who were named executors in his will, weregiven interim control of the late pop singer’s assets,displacing his mother, Katherine Jackson.
Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff, at a hearing todayin Los Angeles, appointed John Branca, the singer’s personalattorney from 1980 to 2006, and John McClain, a music executiveand friend of Jackson, as special administrators of the estate.
