A teenager who was seriously injured after allegedly being struck with a metal weight during a school lesson remains in a stable condition in hospital, police said today.
Detectives had begun interviewing children from the year eight class at All Saints' Roman Catholic school in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, as they continued to question teacher Peter Harvey, 49, on suspicion of attempted murder and two assaults.
