NEW YORK — A new three-year deal for Ryan Seacrest will keep him hosting American Idol as well as pursuing new projects.

The partnership, announced by Simon Fuller's 19 Entertainment, includes Seacrest's continued services as host on the Fuller-produced Idol through 2012.

It also paves the way for new ventures for the busy on-air personality/producer, whose activities already include a syndicated radio talk show and the radio countdown show, American Top 40, as well as anchoring for E! Entertainment News.
