Actress Mischa Barton was picked up at her residence by Los Angeles police Wednesday and eventually placed under an involuntary psychiatric hold (also known as a 5150, also known as that status they put Britney Spears under), before she was transferred to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, reports said Thursday.
Barton, known best as star of the primetime soap opera "The O.C.," made a 911 call because of what officials termed a "medical issue."
