People: Janet Jackson breaks up with Jermaine Dupri

It was apparently no coincidence that Janet Jackson's longtime beau, Jermaine Dupri, was nowhere to be seen at Michael Jackson's memorial last week. Reports Friday said that Janet Jackson and Dupri have split after seven years of dating.

"His friends are telling people it's over," a source close to the couple told Us Weekly.

As to the reason for the breakup, some reports said Friday the two had steadily been growing apart in recent months.
