Ivanov wins Stage 14, Hincapie misses yellow jersey at Tour

BESANCON, France (AP) — Serguei Ivanov of Russia won the 14th stage of the Tour de France. Saturday's ride was marked by the death of a fan who was hit by a police motorcycle escorting the cyclists.

Lance Armstrong fell to fourth overall and former teammate George Hincapie of the United States rose to second by finishing 16 seconds after Ivanov in a small breakaway group.

Hincapie trails 5 seconds behind overall leader Rinaldo Nocentini of Italy, who was 5 minutes, 36 seconds behind the breakaway group but earned an eighth straight day in the yellow jersey.
