Variety reports that Sony Pictures, which is trying valiantly to buy concert rehearsal footage from Michael Jackson's "This Is It" tour, wants to release a film built around the footage on Oct. 30.
The day before Halloween? Is that supposed to be ironic or something?
Sony, which has declined to comment on the deal, is trying to buy the footage from AEG Entertainment, the people behind Jackson's series of comeback concerts in London. He was rehearsing for the concerts when he died June 25 at age 50.
