Oct. 6 (Bloomberg) -- The Obama administration as soon asthis week will start to discuss a request from its top generalin Afghanistan for more troops, the commander of U.S. forces inthe Middle East and Central Asia said today.
General David Petraeus said the request by General StanleyMcChrystal for additional troops is “about to be introducedinto the discussion” headed by the White House. PresidentBarack Obama is scheduled to meet for three hours tomorrow andOct. 9 with Petraeus, McChrystal and other national securityadvisers on the strategy, the general said.
