NEW YORK — Tonight's game against the New York Rangers has much going for it at face value, as the inconsistent Sharks have a chance to find out how they stack up against one of the NHL's hottest teams.
"They've won seven games in a row, so there should be some fear in our eyes and our hearts," Coach Todd McLellan said Sunday. "We should have our best to throw at them right off the bat."
For two of his players — center Manny Malhotra and right wing Jed Ortmeyer — the game might have a little extra emotional kick, because it is a return to their NHL roots.
