The decrease in state unemployment announced last week by the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development is being seen in most counties.
Across the state, unemployment decreased in 83 counties. Unemployment rates increased in 11 counties and remained stagnant in one, according to data released Thursday by the labor department.
Unemployment in Davidson County dropped 0.4 percentage point to 9.2 percent, compared to 5.6 percent a year ago.
