Nov. 1 (Bloomberg) -- The Philippines was recovering todayafter Typhoon Mirinae passed across Manila and southern Luzonyesterday, leaving 14 people dead and four missing, the NationalDisaster Coordinating Council said in its 8 a.m. bulletin.
“We’re back to normal,” Admiral Wilfredo Tamayo,commandant of the Coast Guard, said in a phone interview. TheCoast Guard allowed vessels to sail as soon as the weatherbureau lifted the storm warning signals late yesterday, clearingseaports of stranded passengers that reached as high as 8,300,Tamayo said.
