The Federal Government says an inquiry into a massive oil leak off the north-west coast of Australia will be announced in the next few days now that the leaking well has been sealed.
The oil and gas leak in the Timor Sea was finally stopped yesterday, and the huge fire which started on the wellhead of the West Atlas rig on Sunday was extinguished.
The oil leak started spreading oil across large areas of the Timor Sea on August 21, and yesterday the company involved, PTTEP Australasia, finally had some good news to share.
