NC appellate judges reject public records lawsuit

RALEIGH, N.C. -- The North Carolina Court of Appeals has sided with the state treasurer's office in a public records lawsuit that accused officials of withholding documents about the state's pension fund.

A three-judge panel ruled Tuesday that the State Employees Association of North Carolina failed to specify what records were being wrongfully withheld by the treasurer's office. The association sued after it said former Treasurer Richard Moore and his office failed to completely respond to two records requests.
