Statewide casino vote closer than in Northeast Ohio

Statewide, the early returns on Ohio's casino gambling issue was much closer than in Northeast Ohio.

With 0.99 percent of the precincts counted statewide, Issue 3, the constitutional amendment that would allow casinos in Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati and Toledo, was leading with 58.4 percent of the vote.
