MoD names five British soldiers shot dead in Afghanistan

The soldiers were killed by the British-trained Afghanistan National Police officer who "went rogue" and attacked them inside a military compound in the Nad-e'Ali district of Helmand province.

The Taliban have claimed responsibility for the killing in the district dubbed the 'Wild West' by British soldiers,

Another six British soldiers and two Afghan policemen were wounded in the shooting, which sent shockwaves through the coalition mission in Afghanistan.
