CLEVELAND — Investigators prepared Wednesday to begin ripping open the walls of a convicted rapist's home, where they have discovered 10 bodies and a skull in the past week.
Anthony Sowell, who lived alone in the house, was ordered held without bond Wednesday, after being charged with five counts of aggravated murder for the first set of bodies found in the home—all African-American women believed to have been strangled. He was also charged with rape, felonious assault and kidnapping, stemming from a Sept. 22 incident that eventually led to the discovery of the bodies and his arrest.
