Big Bird of "Sesame Street '' is about to turn 40
Big News! Big Day! Big Bird turns 40 on November 10th."Sesame Street,'' the time-honored monolith of kids' shows, produced by the Children's Television Workshop, is honoring the anniversary of the series debut in 1969. It's recognizing the milestone with celebrations.
The Muppets are on a junket to promote the big day on a variety of TV shows – like ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" Wednesday night. And NBC's "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" next Monday. They will even be featured on FOX's "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?" TV game show.
