We'll win Columbus over, casino developers vow

Developers of a proposed Columbus casino said today they recognize that Franklin Countyvoters opposed the issue that passed on yesterday's statewide ballot but vowed to win over thecommunity and build a first-class facility.

"We hope to earn the trust and confidence of the people here in our host community, in Columbusand indeed in Franklin County," said Eric Schippers, senior vice president of Penn National Gaming,which hopes to open the casino by the end of 2012.
