Hariri Is Third Corporate Executive Charged in Galleon Case

Nov. 5 (Bloomberg) -- Atheros Communications Inc. VicePresident Ali Hariri became the third corporate executivecharged in the Galleon Group LLC insider-trading case, joiningInternational Business Machines Corp.’s Robert Moffat and IntelCorp.’s Rajiv Goel.

Hariri, a manager at Atheros’s broadband networking unit,was placed on leave pending the results of the investigation,Atheros said today at an analysts’ meeting. The company said itwould cooperate fully with authorities. Hariri was one of 14people charged by U.S. prosecutors, part of a probe of analleged insider-trading scheme totaling as much as $53 million.
