Verizon Wireless on Thursday confirmed that it will increase its early termination fee (ETF) to $350 starting November 15.
The current fee for terminating service is $175, though that is pro-rated and decreases as a customer moves through their contract.
The ETF will apply to advanced devices, which generally includes "a combination of advanced capabilities that combined increase the cost of the device," a Verizon spokesman said in an e-mail.
