Muslims brace for backlash after Fort Hood shootings

Muslims proclaim their praise five times a day by raising their hands and declaring "Allahu akbar," or "God is great" -- the same words Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan is reported to have uttered before the Fort Hood shooting rampage last week.

Bracing for a backlash, the Mosque Foundation in Bridgeview and others stepped up security after the shootings and urged their congregations to continue their daily routines with caution.
