Cruise Ship Passenger Rescued From Ocean

MIAMI — A cruise ship passenger was rescued from the ocean about 20 miles southeast of Miami after he fell overboard.

The U.S. Coast Guard reports that 62-year-old Ronald Shulman fell from the Silver Shadow at about 3 a.m. Sunday. The ship's crew was alerted soon after Shulman went missing and lowered a life boat, which Shulman was clinging to when the Coast Guard arrived.

A Coast Guard helicopter spotted Shulman at about 7:45 a.m., and a rescue swimmer was lowered to help him.
