Manning, Colts let another opportunity slip away

MIAMI -- One word caught my ear more than any other in the postgame chaos Sunday night: sorry.

Peyton Manning had been asked to address the meaning of the Saints' victory to New Orleans. Manning knows what it means as well as anyone. He grew up there. His father, Archie, played for the Saints. The Manning family has done a lot of work for the city since Hurricane Katrina.

But this was not the time.

"I understand how excited the Saints players are, their families, and the city of New Orleans is going to be," Manning said. "But obviously.
