You know what's running out? February. That's a little alarming considering that Palm had promised that totally rockin' new cut of webOS, 1.4, before the month was out -- but while we wait for this thing to actually happen, at least we've now got an official (or official-looking) changelog of the build out of the good folks at PreCentral. Besides a host of bug fixes, 1.4 is said to have performance boosts within the phone and calendar apps.

is taking the wraps off some major changes to its Catalyst drivers today. These monthly graphics driver updates usually focus on minor tweaks, bug fixes, and performance improvements, but this month and next month will usher in some singificant new features.

Catalyst 10.2 should be avialbe today (February 17), and brings along with it the following features:

First, the Crossfire multi-GPU architecture has been signficantly changed. Crossfire support used to be part of the core Direct3D and OpenGL drivers, but has now been moved out to a seperate Crossfire DLL file.

Apple issued a new release of the iPhone OS Tuesday that patches a number of security holes, including several that could allow hackers to take control of the portable devices. Version 3.1.3 also offers a number of minor enhancements and bug fixes. The software is available at iTunes.

The security fixes apply to the operating system's CoreAudio, ImageIO, Recovery mode and WebKit components, according to the Apple security update page.

Between UI enhancements, bug fixes, and neat new features like smooth scrolling, Skyfire has been slamming out the updates as of late - but only for one platform. While the Flash/Silverlight-capable mobile browser is available for both Windows Mobile and Symbian, the latter edition hasn't seen any updates in months… until today.

Just minutes ago, Skyfire pushed version 1.5 of their browser out for Symbian S60 3rd and 5th edition phones. This update makes Skyfire for Symbian a feature-for-feature match with its WinMo counterpart.

Rest in peace, iPhone 3.1. It was just last month that the most recent iPhone update hit the streets and already it’s been superseded by the younger, faster, better-looking iPhone 3.1.2 that Apple released on Thursday. Whither iPhone 3.1.1? I’m afraid we may never know.

iPhone 3.1.2 appears to be focused mainly on providing bug fixes for a few problems introduced in iPhone 3.1. Apple specifically calls out a problem where iPhones may not wake from sleep—it remains to be seen if this is the issue that some users had dubbed "coma mode".

As planned, Microsoft today retired Mainstream Support for Windows XP and Office 2003. However, for both products, Microsoft is not planning to retire Extended Support until April 8, 2014. If Redmond ends up releasing a fourth service pack for XP.
