NEW YORK (Reuters) - Motorola Inc has reached a deal with Microsoft Corp that will put Bing search and mapping services on its phones that use Google's Android operating system.

Motorola said the partnership with Microsoft means that a Bing bookmark and search widget will be loaded on cell phones, starting in the coming weeks with phones in China.

The move follows shortly after Motorola struck a similar deal to let consumers in China use Baidu Inc, among others, as the default Web search instead of Google on Android based phones.

Android's specification states that it cannot be used on n device with a screen larger than seven inches. Google clearly designed the OS for use on cell phones, telling developers, in a roundabout way, that Chrome is the default Google OS for any device with a screen larger than this.

Chrome is optimized for Google's cloud-based services. At the moment, the OS is designed for more traditional PC devices like desktops and notebooks. Feb. 2 (Bloomberg) -- Ustream Inc., a provider of live video streaming to the Internet and mobile phones, said it raised $75 million in capital from investors led by Softbank Corp., Japan's third-largest mobile-phone operator.

The funding will help Ustream expand primarily in Japan, China, Korea and India, the Mountain View, California-based company said today in an e-mailed statement. Ustream plans to open offices, hire employees and invest in technology in those countries, Chief Executive Officer John Ham said.

Everyone is creating app stores ever since the success of Apple's AppStore, which has generated 3 billion downloads in a couple of years.
