In the more than 30 years since director Roman Polanski pleaded guilty to having sex with a 13-year-old girl and then fled the country before he was sentenced, he has continued to make movies and even won an Academy Award.

Meanwhile, the details of what actually happened on that day in March 1977 have receded, as even the victim, Samantha Geimer, has said she forgives Polanski and doesn't think he should face further jail time.

As director Roman Polanski remains in a Swiss jail and the debate about his arrest rages on, his Hollywood representative says attorneys are preparing a motion for his release.

"The entire narrative surrounding this situation over the last 32 years has been wrought with complications and inconsistencies," Jeff Berg told "Good Morning America" today.

Polanski's arrest Saturday at the Zurich airport came at the request of a U.S. warrant on a 31-year-old statutory rape charge. Berg and Polanski's lawyers have expressed shock that he was taken into custody in a country he is known to frequent, even owning a chalet there.

From a Swiss jail, director Roman Polanski told his lawyer to fight any attempt to extradite him to California to face 31-year-old rape charges.

"He wants to struggle," lawyer Herve Temime told ABC's "Good Morning America" Monday.

"It could be possible for us to obtain his freedom." Polanski, 76, who lives in France, was arrested Saturday night when he arrived in Switzerland to accept a lifetime achievement award at the Zurich Film Festival.

LOS ANGELES -- The director of the "Spider-Man" film franchise is set to transform "World of Warcraft" into a movie.

Blizzard Entertainment Inc. and Legendary Pictures says Sam Raimi (RAY'-mee) has signed on to direct "Warcraft," a live-action film based on the popular online role-playing game which allows players to become such characters as orcs, trolls, humans and dwarves. Raimi is best known for directing "The Evil Dead" and "Spider-Man" trilogy.
