Just two months after OK Go released their new album Of the Blue Colour of the Sky on EMI, the band has announced its split from the label by 'mutual agreement.' OK Go are creating a new label, Paracadute Recordings, to promote and distribute the disc. 'We'd like to thank the people who have worked so hard on our behalf,' said OK Go singer Damian Kulash in a statement. 'And we'd like to thank our fans for making this choice an easy one for us.'

Rolling Stone's recent headline 'Lil Wayne Goes to Jail' has finally come true: After a pair of temporary reprieves, Lil Wayne was officially sentenced to a year behind bars in a New York courtroom today after pleading guilty to weapons charges stemming from an incident in the Big Apple in 2007. Following the sentencing, Wayne was handcuffed as he exited the courthouse en route to New York's Riker's Island, the city jail where the rapper will serve his prison stint.

When Steve Jobs personally called Woodstock, Georgia native Louie Sulcer to tell him he'd won Apple's iTunes Store 10 Billion Song Sold contest, Sulcer first thought was that he was being pranked. 'He called me and said, 'This is Steve Jobs from Apple.' I said, 'Yeah right,' ' Sulcer tells Rolling Stone. 'I have a son that loves to play tricks and he does that every now and then - calls me and imitates somebody.' After three or four times of asking 'Come on now, who is this,' Sulcer realized that his caller ID read simply 'Apple,' and only then did he believe that he was the winner of the contest and a $10,000 iTunes card.

The Runaways biopic, starring Twilight's Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning, melted the snow at its Sundance premiere and hits theaters across the U.S. on March 19th. While fans have gotten a few sneak peeks at the film via its teaser trailers, Rolling Stone now has your exclusive on what songs will feature on the film's punk rock soundtrack. Since this is a film about the Runaways, the group's catalog features heavily on the disc, and its track list is split between the original recordings and new versions by Fanning, who plays Cherie Currie, and Stewart, who portrays Joan Jett.

The two men named as co-executors of Michael Jackson's estate, John Branca and John McClain, will receive a 10 percent cut of all profits they make for the King of Pop's estate, a judge ruled yesterday in Los Angeles. According to the AP, both Branca and McClain will receive five percent of the profits, however they won't get any compensation from the This Is It concert rehearsal film or any payment from Jackson's stake in the Sony/ATV catalog.

For a decade, Lil Wayne has been hip-hop's great unstoppable force, a 24-hour-a-day recording machine without an off button. But on February 9th, Lil Wayne will have to stop - for 12 months, when he reports to prison to serve a sentence for gun possession stemming from a 2007 arrest in New York City. The RIAA and Jammie Thomas-Rasset, the Minnesota mom accused of illegally downloading 24 songs via Kazaa, will go to trial for a third time. Thomas-Rasset has rejected the RIAA's offer to settle the case by donating $25,000 to a 'an appropriate charity benefiting musicians,' Copyrights & Campaigns reports. As Rolling Stone reported last week, a Minnesota judge slashed the $1.92 million ruling from the second trial down to $54,000, and the RIAA further cut the fine to $25,000 in the hope of finally ending the case.

John Mayer is still talking about his break-up with Jennifer Aniston. John said he isn't proud of the way things ended with the actress.

"I've never really gotten over it," he tells the latest issue of Rolling Stone. "It was one of the worst times of my life. I'm the a**hole," he says. "I burned the American flag. I basically murdered an ideal."

An ideal? Seriously? What ideal? Were they supposed to be the ideal couple? Does he think breaking up with Jen somehow tarnished Jen in some way? I don't get it.

Fans of Michael Jackson have reason to rejoice New Year's weekend.

A snippet of a previously unreleased song by the late King of Pop has popped up on the Internet.

Released by Jackson fan site MJ Star, the 90-second clip appears to be a duet with Lenny Kravitz, titled "Another Day," which the two collaborated on before Jackson's death on June 25th from cardiac arrest.

According to Rolling Stone, "Another Day" is a remake of Kravitz's song "Storm" that appeared on the rocker's 2004 album "Baptism."

In early October, paparazzi photos popped up on the Web of "New Moon" star Taylor Lautner running in the ocean in a soaking wet T-shirt while cradling a football. We knew the setup was for a Rolling Stone shoot by renowned photographer Mark Seliger (who shot Megan Fox's October RS cover). What we didn't know was if Lautner's shoot was for the cover and when the photos would be published.

Now we have answers. Lautner appears on the cover of the December 10 issue in that same white T-shirt, frothy waves behind him and the football clutched behind his head.

With his buffer-than-ever bod, no one would ever think of picking on New Moon star Taylor Lautner.

"I was never extremely confident," the actor, now 17, tells the new issue of Rolling Stone. "Because I was an actor, when I was in school there was a little bullying going on. Not physical bullying but people making fun of what I do ... I just had to tell myself I can't let this get to me. This is what love to do. And I'm going to continue to do it."

For his first televised performance since the Season Eight finale of American Idol, Adam Lambert aimed for the kind of controversy Britney Spears and Madonna are known for generating, completely stunning the audience at Los Angeles' Nokia Theatre and the millions watching the American Music Awards live on ABC with a risqué rendition of "For Your Entertainment." Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band canceled their scheduled performance last night in Kansas City, Missouri, after the band's assistant road manager Lenny Sullivan was found dead in his hotel room. Sullivan, who was also Springsteen's cousin, was only 36. "Due to a death in Bruce's immediate family, tonight's show at Sprint Center has been unavoidably canceled. All tickets will be refunded at the point of purchase.

After scrapping scrapped her Fame Kills Tour with Kanye West, Lady Gaga says she has conjured up an equally elaborate show for when she hits the road with opening acts Kid Cudi and Jason Derulo this November. Gaga promises that when fans attend the Monster Ball Tour, she and the Haus of Gaga will give them quite a spectacle.

"I wanted to really put together a show that would be the most beautiful, expensive-looking, delicious show, but that my fans wouldn't have to pay a ton of money to come see," she told Rolling Stone about the tour.
