Qatar Airways Company Q.C.S.C. (Arabic: ????????) is the flag carrier airline of Qatar, based in Doha. It operates a hub and spoke network, linking over 80 international destinations. It is among the only six airlines awarded 5-star rating by Skytrax along with Kingfisher Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Asiana Airlines, Malaysia Airlines and Singapore Airlines.

As of March 2009 Qatar Airways serves 84 destinations and Qatar Airways Cargo serves 21 (including 17 destinations served by Qatar Airways also) destinations in 52 countries across Africa, Asia, Europe and North America.

Qatar Airways also has plans to add two (yet unconfirmed) cities in Europe during 2009, but believed to be Sofia, Bulgaria and Birmingham, UK. Entebbe may be started this year as well or in 2010. Qatar is also actively looking at launching a third daily flight to Colombo, Sri Lanka . Already it is hiring cabin crews ahead of its Melbourne launch which was announced since 2004. In 2009, Qatar Airways plans to increase frequencies to a number of cities in line with the airline's growth for the year, for example Qatar Airways offers (more) non-stop flights from Doha to Muscat, twice a day.
